6 MONTHS

Well I think I've FINALLY found a pediatrician that I like!  I was getting worried that one did not exist... Lucas had his 6 month well child visit yesterday and it went great! He is 17lb 2.5 oz (50th percentile) and 27 inches long (75th percentile). The doctor praised his deamenor and reminded us of how lucky we are to have such a happy little guy. He sort of laughed when I brought up my one concern about Lucas not eating in the morning.. I told him he sleeps for 10 hours and just wakes up happy as a clam with NO interest in eating.. it's not until a few hours later that he will suck down a feeding. He proceeded to tell me that he is a very healthy, happy, growing boy and that there are definitely worse things than him sleeping for 10 hours only to wake up happy and not interested in eating. LOL.. good point.

As expected Lucas' bag of tricks is growing... it really is so neat to see him learn new things for the first time. It makes you realize what amazing creatures we are.. Lets see... he rolls from back to belly and does push ups, he sits up almost unassisted (still a bit wobbly), he babbles quite a bit (he says "dada" "baba" "mama" "yaya" and several other combos, he stands while holding onto something (cannot pull himself to standing though), he moves objects from hand to hand and he puts EVERYTHING in his mouth...  all these little tricks remind me that I need to start childproofing ASAP! We've done some preliminary stuff but I know that he is going to be mobile before we know it!
