Was January 7th. :(
Absolutely HORRIFYING. We were at our cousin's house visiting with Ryan and Kristie and their adorable 2 kids when this unfortunate event occured. Lucas was on the backyard patio and I took my eyes off him for just 1 second. Next thing I know he is munching on a ball of dog poop like it's a chocolate cupcake. I squealed in horror when I realized it was not a chocolate cupcake... scooped him up and went straight to the kitchen sink to dig out the poop with a wet wash cloth and wash his mouth out with water. OMG it was so awful. The worst was his poop breath in my face while washing him clean. My poor baby.. :( Definitely a bad mom moment for taking my eye off him!
As with everything, there is of course some humor here. If you know Lucas, you know he does not like to eat. at ALL. It has always been a struggle to get him to eat solids. He just has no interest. So you see why I think it's a tad bit funny that Lucas will not eat things like bananas, mac n cheese or potatoes but has no problem with a piece of dog poop. Only my child. Man I love that kid. :)
